Nike has agreed to sponsor the Fencing Masters NYC. The event benefits Olympic hopefuls and is being held at The Hammerstein Ballroom on Nov. 17.
The tournament of expo for fencers and non-fencers alike features internationally renowned Olympic fencing champions, Aldo Montano (Italy), Nicolas Lopez (France), Jaime Marti (Spain), Alex O' Connell (Britain), Olga Kharlan (Ukraine) and USA Champions Tim Morehouse, Mariel Zagunis, Ben Igoe, Daryl Homer, and possibly even YOU, will duel during a dramatic and unprecedented evening of fencing entertainment, inspiration, and exhibitions.
Other sponsors include BistroMDsports, Bodhizone, Dayton and Sydney Wealth Management Group, Blue Gauntlet Fencing and Fencing.Net.
Nike's fencing shoes are made under license by Athlete Performance Solutions, based in Portland. In August 2010, Nike licensed its performance footwear categories for the traditional Olympic Games to the company. Other categories under the license include sailing, rowing, weightlifting, boxing and shooting under the Nike brand.
