Nike plans to open a technology center in Atlanta in a major expansion in the area, according to the Atlanta Business Chronicle.
Nike’s Atlanta Technology Center, to be located in West Midtown, will feature three “Centers of Excellence,” which will focus on logistics and supply chain, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, and machine learning.
Mona-Lisa Pinkney, Nike’s senior technology leader in corporate information security, will oversee operations. Pinkney, who lives in Atlanta, is also the Co-founder of Nike’s Black Employees in Technology Network.
The facility is scheduled to open in 2023. All employees will work remotely until that date.
