Nike, Inc. announced today it will open a new and larger Nike retail store at the PDX airport. The store is scheduled to open in July 2004. Totaling almost 1,450 square feet of retail space, the new PDX Nike store will be located on the south side of the “Oregon Market” towards the entrance of the A/B/C terminals. The new store will have a greater brand presence at the airport and will offer a broader assortment of product selections.
“Nike has been present at PDX for nearly 16 years,” says Elliott Hill, Vice President and General Manager for Nike US Retail. “With the new location and renovation, Nike will provide consumers with a better shopping experience through an expanded selection of Nike footwear, apparel and accessories.”
The current Nike retail store is located in the center of the “Oregon Market,” in front of the food court. Opened in November 1988, it is approximately 828 square feet. This store will close immediately after the opening of the new location.
