Streetwear maker Milkcrate Athletics Inc. has sued Nike Inc. because its
LeBron V footwear is “confusingly similar” to its own. The lawsuit
notes that Milkcrate uses a milk crate as its logo, while
Nike’s Zoom LeBron Soldier II has a milk-crate pattern and the words
“milk crate” on its sole.

Nike’s LeBron V sneaker has the words “milk
crate” on the top of the shoe.

The suit seeks unspecified money damages and asks that Nike be ordered
to recall products using the words “crate” and “milk crate.”

A spokesman for Nike told Reuters that the case was without merit and
the company
would defend itself “vigorously.”
