Nike Inc. spent $60,000 in the first quarter to lobby on trade, transportation, counterfeit issues and other business matters, according to a recent disclosure report. A report in The Boston Globe noted that the figure is down from the $120,000 it spent last year and in the fourth quarter of 2010.

Besides Congress, Nike also lobbied the U.S. Trade Representative, the department of Health and Human Services and others during the January-through-March period, according to the report filed April 19 with the House clerk’s office.
