Nike signed Ja Morant, the former Murray State guard who’s expected to be taken second in the upcoming NBA Draft.
“All my life my parents worked for a check,” Morant tweeted “Now I’m proud to say I work for the check. #Nike #NikeBasketball.”
Morant is the first draftee to sign among the top-three projected picks. The other two, Zion Williamson and RJ Barrett, are also expected to land mega deals.
