Tonsser, a startup that offers a vertical social network aimed at youth soccer players, has signed on Nike as its first brand channel partner, according to a report from TechCrunch.

Offering a way for players to get discovered by a major club, the Copenhagen-based firm now has 380,000 youth players registered, up from 100,000 over a year ago. The app is currently available in France, Germany, Denmark, Sweden and Norway.

The TechCrunch article also noted that Tonsser has secured €2.5 million in new funding backed by existing investors Wellington Partners, SEED Capital, Arthur Kosten (Booking.com), and unnamed professional soccer players.
