The Nike Factory Store at Outlets at Corpus Christi Bay in Robstown, TX is closing, according to a report from Corpus Christi Caller Times.
City Manager Herman Rodriguez told the publication the location was seeing healthy sales but Nike officials told him the closure “was part of their growth strategy.”
In its year ended May 31, 2019, Nike operated 217 Nike Brand factory stores in the U.S. Overall, Nike’s U.S. store count was 384, including 29 Nike Brand in-line stores (including employee-only stores), 109 Converse stores (including factory stores), and 29 Hurley stores (including factory and employee-only stores).
