Nike has tapped Cindy Davis, senior vice president of The Golf Channel, as general manager for Nike Golf in the U.S. Davis, who was previously president and CEO of Arnold Palmer Golf Company, replaces David Pillsbury, who left Nike in August to become COO for PGA Tour Golf Course Properties.

Ms. Davis, who will start her new position in January, was credited with launching the NancyLopez Golf brand while at Palmer. She will report directly to Bob Wood, president of Nike Golf, and oversee the sales, operations, marketing and sports marketing aspects of the U.S. Golf business.

Davis is a graduate of Furman University where she was a NCAA First Team All America golfer. She received her MBA in Marketing/Finance from the University of Maryland. Earlier this month Davis completed the New York City Marathon, her fourth marathon.
