Nike is closed to re-signing Tiger Woods, according to an ESPN report.
Woods agent, Mark Steinbert, told ESPN’s Bog Harig that the deal will “emphatically” keep Woods as golf’s top-paid endorser. Woods originally signed with Nike in 1996 in what was reported to be a $100 million deal.
His current contract, signed in 2006, is set to expire sometime before the end of the year.
Last fall, Nike signed a major deal with Rory McIlroy.
