Nike USA has sold its Bauer Hockey manufacturing plant in
Greenland,  NH, but has no plans  to shut down operations at
this time, according to www.seacoastonline.com. According to the
newspaper, the Rockingham County deed records filed May 29 show the
property was purchased by Equity Industrial Greenland Associates
Limited Partnership in Needham, Mass., for $17.9 million.

Erin Dobson of Nike Corporate Communications told
www.seacoastonline.com that the 150 Ocean Road property will continue
operating the plant under a lease with the new owners. Dobson did not
say why the property was sold, citing company policy.

Nike earlier this year announced its corporate restructuring and cost
reductions plan for 2009, which included reducing its 35,000-person
work force by up to 4%.
