Nfinity named James Kersey to the position of
Cheerleading Brand Manager. Kersey worked
for the event company Spirit Cheer since the organization’s inception
where he oversaw production, marketing and staffing. In his new position, Kersey will be
responsible for all future development of Nfinity’s cheerleading
business, including overseeing the design, marketing and production of
the company’s cheerleading division.

Kersey
comes to Nfinity with over a decade of experience in the spirit
industry. A standout high school athlete, Kersey turned down a football
scholarship to become a four-year varsity cheerleader at the University
of Central Florida (UCF). Kersey helped lead UCF’s 2003 squad to their
first Universal Cheerleading Association College National Title. While
receiving a Masters Degree from UCF, Kersey began working as the
Operations Manager for the UCF Spirit Program until he took the
opportunity to begin coaching. Kersey first assisted a small coed team
at UNC-Wilmington before taking on a full-time coaching position with
the nationally ranked LSU Tigers of Baton Rouge, LA.

At Spirit Cheer, Kersey’ most
rewarding work was his role in developing the Collegiate Cheerleading
Combines, a program focused on educating high school cheerleaders
looking to cheer at the college level. Kersey worked as the National
Event Director for the Combines and is proud of all the athletes that
received scholarships from the program. Currently, James serves on the
United States All Star Federation’s National Advisory Board.

“We
are proud to welcome James to the Nfinity team. His experience and
knowledge of the cheerleading industry makes him a perfect fit,” said
Nfinity CEO Tate Chalk. “We are confident in James’ ability to run
Nfinity’s cheerleading division.”

“I am thrilled for the
opportunity to work with Tate and the rest of the Nfinity team. Tate
has left some incredibly large shoes for me to fill, and I look forward
to the challenge of keeping Nfinity the Official Shoe of Cheerleading,”
said Kersey.
