Perception Kayaks … Don’t Get Yaked Off
The newest campaign, and short film from Perception Kayaks, is a spoof on the increase in low-cost kayaks. The film, in association with parent company Confluence Outdoor, promotes the importance of buying a safe water craft while supporting the paddle sports industry. Watch the film here or right.
Confluence introduced the brand’s Specialty Advantage Program to key speciality retailers this week, which includes support, exclusives and an industry-first financing program—Paddle Now, Pay Later—that allows consumers to buy a kayak, paddle board or accessories with an option to finance their purchase over time.
Josiah Middaugh, pictured right, and Lesley Paterson, won the 13th annual XTERRA Oak Mountain off-road triathlon elite titles at Oak Mountain State Park in Shelby County, AL on May 19.
It’s the third year in a row that Middaugh won the race and his fifth win in six years on the course. For Paterson, it’s her fourth victory at Oak Moutain since 2012, and for both, their first XTERRA win of 2018.
