Amid the spectrum of boutique fitness concepts, a new one called Nucleo Fitness is slowly building momentum in Toronto.
Nucleo (Spanish for “core”) offers its classes, which mix rowing and Pilates, in a small-group setting. Its website promises no more than 12 students per class, and its similarly scaled-down team of six instructors underlines the brand’s identity as a niche fitness establishment.
Perhaps the most intriguing facet of Nucleo’s class lineup is its use of Indo-Row, the group rowing concept that has its participants working in teams, partners and a unified crew in drills and “friendly but competitive” races, according to its website.
Nucleo also offers barre and yoga workouts in addition to its core rowing and Pilates classes.
