New Era Cap announced that Bill Adams, its National Sales Manager, has been promoted to the newly developed position of Vice President of U.S. Sales and has been appointed to New Era’s Executive Team.

As Vice President of U.S. Sales, Mr. Adams directly reports to the Vice President of Global Sales Jim Grundtisch, and will continue to cultivate and direct the company’s U.S. sales force, drive market penetration and grow key account relationships. As a member of New Era’s Executive Team, he will provide a strategic voice for crafting the company’s ongoing U.S. sales objectives. Mr. Adams has been a member of the New Era sales team since August 2001 when he joined the company as its Eastern Regional Sales Manager; he was promoted to National Sales Manager in 2003.

Prior to joining New Era, Mr. Adams had a successful 17-year career in sales at Converse Inc. where he rose through the ranks, from Sales Representative to Vice President, National Sales. He taught junior and senior high school history in Maple Shade from 1974 – 1984, while coaching baseball and basketball there.

Mr. Adams played professional baseball for San Francisco and St. Louis’ minor league teams from 1973 – 1977. He holds a Bachelor and Master degree from Rider University, and certificates from Wharton Business School (University of Pennsylvania) and Kellogg Business School (Northwestern University). Mr. Adams resides in North Andover, MA.
