New Balance has introduced a new global footwear box design, featuring a grab 'n go perforated handle and enhanced brand graphics.

The new box will debut at retail for January 2011.

In addition to the perforated handle, the new box features a sturdy fold-over lid and enhanced brand graphics with a modern ribbon design that wraps around the box and is color-coded by category for easy identification. Updated labels will feature size, width, gender and the French translation, as well as highlight newbalance.com, in an easy-to-read format.

“The new modern graphics on our box create a strong and cohesive brand presence to prospective consumers and differentiate New Balance within self-service retail,” says Jeff McAdams, global brand manager for New Balance. “The new label easily conveys product information while the color-coding by category clearly communicates the type of shoe on the shelf which results in an enhanced shopping experience with our brand.”

As with New Balance's current boxes, the new box is 100% recyclable.

All new styles launched in 2011, as well as all toning shoes beginning with fourth quarter 2010 styles, will use the new box with all New Balance footwear styles transitioning by January 2012.
