Shawn Neville, former president of Keds, has agreed to join Boathouse Sports, the performance-fabric team uniforms manufacturer, as its  CEO, SportsOneSource has learned. The company, based in Philadelphia, currently produces team uniforms for eight sports: men’s and women’s lacrosse, track and field, field hockey, softball, basketball, volleyball and rowing. It is launching a soccer line this fall.

CEO John Strotbeck, member of the 1984 and 1988 U.S. Olympic rowing teams, acquired the business in 1989. In late 2005, Boathouse received financial backing to grow from Sherbrooke Capital Inc., a Massachusetts venture capital fund that specializes in companies in the health and wellness industry.

Neville left Keds, a division of Collective Brand’s Stride Rite unit, in July.

Neville became president of Keds in July 2004. Previously, he was president and CEO of Footstar’s athletic division, including the management of Footaction, USA. Prior to Footaction, Neville held senior level marketing roles with VISA USA and senior level sales, marketing and general management positions with Reebok, Tambrands, Inc., and Procter & Gamble.
