Nevco Sports LLC, known for its electronic scoreboards, has announced the acquisition of Scorebird, a platform that allows organizations to automate the process of bringing live scores directly from a scoreboard.
Terms were not disclosed.
Nevco said the Scorebird acquisition continues Nevco’s evolution from a traditional scoreboard manufacturer to now being able to offer an end-to-end ecosystem that connects physical scoreboards with digital engagement platforms.

Nevco cited five benefits from the acquisiton:

- Comprehensive Technology Ecosystem: By combining Nevco’s industry-leading scoreboard hardware with Scorebird’s data streaming technology, the company can now offer complete solutions from data capture to fan engagement across multiple channels.
- Broadcast Integration: Scorebird’s overlay technology for livestreams positions Nevco to serve the growing market for sports broadcasting at all levels, from high school athletics to professional venues.
- API-First Approach: The integration of Scorebird’s API capabilities enables third-party developers and partners to build custom integrations to leverage the live scoring data, direct from Nevco’s scoreboards.
With the acquisition, Nevco plans to leverage Scorebird’s capabilities to develop new products and services that bridge the gap between traditional sports displays and modern digital engagement platforms.
