NEMO Equipment, Inc., manufacturer of AirSupported and Extreme Conditions Tents, sleeping pads and backcountry accessories, has expanded its onsite and national sales representative team.

At its Nashua, NH studio, NEMO has added Erin Leonard as Graphic Designer and Ryan Mateyko as Director of Sales Strategy. Off site, theyve added Gerten Outdoors for Midwest representation and Kahl and Partners for the Rockies and South Central US, including TX, OK, LA, AR and KS.

Erin Leonard left the mountains of Colorado for the ocean and her family in New Hampshire. Her experience as a graphic designer responsible for print design and production at Hero Design Studio in Denver, prepared her for the trial by fire at NEMO. Day one she was immersed in the latest product catalog and has just recently come up for air. She looks forward to being an integral part of NEMOs graphic design team, creating ads, collateral, web content, promotional materials and the occasional piece of office furniture, while her dog Stryder wishes for shorter work days and more time on the trails by the office.

Ryan left the exhilarating world of finance to see what all the hype was about in the outdoor industry. In his past life, he was a financial analyst at 42 North, a small project finance shop focusing on investment in renewable energy technology. There he handled modeling for potential investments, forecasting and variance analysis and market research. At NEMO he has been hired as the director of sales strategy to create a directed approach for preserving the aggressive sales growth the company has enjoyed in recent years. This includes product and sales channel analysis and sales forecasting to keep NEMO on a steady course. When hes not at work, Ryan can be found climbing or balancing it all out in AcroYoga.

On the sales force side, NEMO has partnered with two new rep agencies to grow its presence with retailers across the country.

“Its not just the AirSupported Technology® that we are drawn to, but the ecological approach that NEMO is bringing to the market,” said Travis Rosen, co-owner of Kahl and Partners. “To top it off, NEMOs pads and pillows are well positioned in the category with their distinctive designs.

In 2010, NEMO has expanded its product line from 12 to 20 tents, along with 4 sleeping pads, a backcountry pillow and accessories.

NEMO was founded in 2002 by Cam Brensinger with the commitment to bringing the highest level of design and engineering to the world of outdoor adventure sports. Besides AirSupported Technology, NEMO has patents pending for its lightweight pumps, washable floor liners, condensation curtains and many more features and accessories which add functionality and comfort to its shelters.
