Neiman Marcus, Inc. reported revenues dipped 0.6% during April to $343 million from $346 million. Comps declined 1.9%. Comps in the Specialty Retail Stores segment, which includes Neiman Marcus Stores and Bergdorf Goodman, decreased 3.6%.

Comparable revenues at Neiman Marcus Direct in the four-week April period increased 7.2%. The top selling merchandise categories in the Direct Marketing segment included womens apparel and shoes, handbags and mens furnishings.
In the 13-week period, revenues sunk 1% to $1.062 billion from $1.073 billion. Same-store sales fell 2.5%. Comparable revenues for Neiman Marcus, Inc. for the third quarter of fiscal year 2008 decreased 2.5%. Specialty Retail Stores comparable revenues decreased 3.4 percent which represents a comparable revenue decrease of 4.4 percent at Neiman Marcus Stores and 3.4% increase at Bergdorf Goodman. Neiman Marcus Direct revenues were 2.0% above last year.
