Nation’s Best Sports (NBS) awarded Ken Meehan, president of Dunham’s Sports, with the NBS Lifetime Achievement Award.
The reward was announced at the 2018 NBS Spring Semi-Annual Market.
Dunham’s Sports is a full-line sporting goods retailer with over 200 stores in over 20 states and has been an NBS Member for 28 years.
Meehan is currently serving in his 13th year on the NBS Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He continuously encourages buyers to support NBS by serving on its committees as Dunham’s has participated in the team and retail athletic, paddlesports, hunting, fishing, camping and paintball committees over the years.
NBS writes, “Ken is an incredible supporter of our Markets and brings a full contingent of buyers to all five or six shows Dunham’s attends every year. Ken is very involved in the sporting goods industry and has been a longtime supporter of the National Sporting Goods Association and has served in board capacities there throughout his career. We are honored to have Ken as part of our organization and appreciate his strong support, guidance and mentorship over the years. Congratulations Ken!”
NBS also said Keith Dustrud of Bob Ward & Sons won the NBS Committee Member Service Award. NBS wrote, “Keith has been instrumental in providing his knowledge and guidance for over 15 years to the NBS Staff and Membership. He is a valued Member of our Winter Hardgoods Committee, and serves as the committee chair as well, and we are thankful to have him part of our NBS Family! Congratulations Keith!”
Leupold & Stevens Wins NBS Vendor of the Year Award. Wrote NBA, Leupold CEO Bruce Pettet accepted the award and addressed the Membership on Leupold’s behalf.
