Nautilus, Inc. inked a partnership with the National Academy of Sports Medicine to provide research and training support for new fitness products and introduce new education programs for fitness professionals. The NASM partnership involves conducting scientific research on new fitness innovations and tapping into NASM's substantial research – backed expertise as it develops programming for the company's pipeline of new products. Nautilus and NASM will also offer affiliate marketing relationships for NASM certified personal trainers.

“Our partnership represents a significant leap forward in building out the education dimension of our pure fitness business platform,” said Tim Hawkins, President of the Nautilus Fitness Equipment Business. He said the NASM partnership will accelerate the programs and services currently developed through the Nautilus Institute, the company's research, education and training resource that was formed two years ago.

“By collaborating with NASM, our equipment innovations will emerge from a significant collection of evidence-based research and will be complemented by a new generation of educational materials and support. We also will make it easier for those seeking a fit and healthy life to obtain the proper equipment, apparel and training to achieve their goals.”

“When it comes to fitness training, Nautilus stands out as an industry leader fully committed to helping people achieve their lifelong health and fitness goals,” said Dr. Micheal Clark, President and CEO of NASM, based in Calabasas, Calif. “This is a unique partnership that has never been approached as comprehensively as this program. It has been more than six months in the making and is now ready to be shared with the industry and consumers.

“Through our direction in research and training, and Nautilus' leadership in product innovation and marketing, we will open new gateways to engage many more people and provide them with the tools and knowledge to live healthier lives.”
