UVEX Sports Inc., a leader in sports optics and helmets is seeking a National Sales Manager. Reporting to the president of the company, the successful individual will be responsible for the development of sales programs. The individual should also have knowledge of the key retail players within the winter sports market, and have established contacts and relationships within those accounts. Previous success in management of a nationwide sales force is required.
The position is based in Providence, RI and will include extensive travel during the selling season.
Responsibilities include:
- Key Account management
- Presentations to existing and prospective accounts
- Development of clinics for staff and consumers
- Work closely with rep force to manage account development
- Forecasting SKU and unit requirements annually
- Organize, manage and direct sales meetings
- Provide timely and detailed field reports
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree or applicable experience within the industry, preferably in a functional area dealing with sales.
- 3 – 5 years of outdoor industry/winter sports industry sales experience.
- Strong presentation and communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Analytic and strategic thinking skills.
- Ability to listen and understand customer needs.
- Ability to work professionally and efficiently within a team environment.
- Computer proficiency with intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Office products – Excel, Word, PowerPoint .
- Position is based in Providence, RI.
