POSITION
The National Sales Manager Sportswear has primary responsibilities for developing and implementing a sales strategy for increasing sales for all accounts and channels of distribution for Mossy Oak Elements and other non-camo products. He/she will be calling on key accounts, developing and implementing a strategy to develop a sales force, developing and coordinating sales presentations and ensuring superior sales service to key customers. Although this newly created position has no current direct reports, he/she will be responsible for building and developing a sales force as required to support growth within the Elements / Sportswear business.
RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to)
- Communicate, collaborate and build consensus with the Mossy Oak management team on strategy, opportunities and focus of the Sportswear business.
- Identify, develop and maintain relationships with current and future Sportswear customers.
- Identify and cultivate new business opportunities within customers as appropriate.
- Develop effective sales strategies for increasing distribution across all channels.
- Strive to provide superior sales service to key customers.
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- BA/BS Degree required. MBA preferred but not required.
- Minimum of 10 years superior selling experience at regional or national level, with key experience selling branded sportswear (top brands include, but are not limited to: Columbia Sportswear, Timberland, Nautica, Carhartt, and Woolrich).
- A current list of contacts / relationships across multiple channels of distribution, with a focus on independent clothing stores, moderate National Chains, Specialty Sporting Goods chains, and Specialty Apparel chains.
- Experience with growing brands a plus.
- Solid knowledge of and experience in sportswear product development process (i.e. enjoys and understands a long product development cycle).
- Team oriented with excellent leadership and organizational skills adept at handling multiple tasks.
- Must be comfortable in a collaborative and consensus-oriented organization
- 30%-40% domestic travel required. Occasional international travel a possibility.
- Ability to carry sample bags and luggage occasionally exceeding 50# per bag.
- Must be a self-starter.

COMPENSATION INFORMATION:
Base of +/- $90,000 depending on experience; 15% (target) to 30% (maximum) bonus.
