Members of the National Bicycle Dealers Association (NBDA) have five more days to apply for 25 scholarships awarded each year to help dealers attend their first National Bike Summit in Washington D.C.

The NBDA's National Bike Summit Scholarship Program is designed to support the cause of cycling in America by making it affordable for NBDA dealers to participate in the National Bike Summit in Washington, D.C., March 8-10, 2011. Only dealers who have never attended the summit are eligible for the scholarships, which can be worth up to $1,000.

The National Bike Summit is produced by the League of American Bicyclists (www.bikeleague.org). This is where advocates, industry executives and education experts gather to learn about the issues involving bicycling in America, and to speak up for bicycling on Capitol Hill by meeting with members and staff of the House of Representatives and U.S. Senate by pre-arranged appointment.

If you are interested in applying for a scholarship, please fill out the on-line form and submit to the NBDA by Jan. 18, 2011. Those who are awarded scholarships will be notified by the NBDA by Feb. 1, 2011, to give attendees enough notice to make affordable travel arrangements.  Click here to submit your application
