Active Outdoors Group, owned and operated by Bill Cochrane, has been retained by Mountainsmith to oversee their efforts in the Great Lakes states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
Based out of Lakewood, Ohio, he will be responsible for focusing on and strengthening the company’s sales, distribution and marketing efforts in the territory. The announcement was made by Jay Getzel, director of sales and marketing for Mountainsmith.
Bill has been serving the outdoor, winter and running/cycling markets for the past five years representing such prestigious brands as Helly Hansen, Scott Running and Body Glove. In addition, he owns and manages Nalu SUP and Surf standup paddle shop located in Rocky River, Ohio, which gives him a first-hand perspective on what retailers need from suppliers to grow and profit from a brand.
“It is our intent to grow Mountainsmith in the Great Lakes territory,” commented Jay. “We know we have a strong product line and are confident that we can make a major impact with Bill’s direction.
