In the latest of many recent moves by Mountainsmith to strengthen their management team, Christian Mason has been appointed to the newly created position of Product Manager for the company. The announcement was made by Geoff O'Keeffe, president of the Colorado-based innovators of cutting-edge packs and bags.
Effective immediately, Christian will spearhead design and development coordination of the Mountainsmith product line including, but not limited to, outdoor packs, bags, sleeping bags, and luggage. Responsibilities will include market research and competitive analysis as well as design, development, and production coordination. He will also be an integral member of the sales and marketing team.
“This new position is the latest step in our strategic plan to ensure that our customers receive state-of-the-art products and professional service from Mountainsmith,” stated O'Keeffe. “Christian is well-versed in the outdoor industry and challenges facing outdoor retailers. I am confident that he will be a strong member of our experienced team as we continue pushing the product envelope.”
Mason brings a wealth of experience to Mountainsmith in product, sales, retail, marketing, and management. Most recently he was sales representative for DaKine in Colorado, Wyoming, New Mexico, and Utah. Prior to that, he held key positions in the outdoor industry as General Manager for WildWasser Sport USA Inc.
Distributor of Prijon kayaks and previously as Resort Manager for Three Rivers Resort in Almont, Colorado.”
