Mountain Hardwear announced that Phyllis Grove has been named to the position of Marketing Director. Grove will oversee marketing efforts for the company including strategy, branding, advertising, web, retailer coop programs, consumer and trade promotions, athlete relationships and market research.

Grove joined Mountain Hardwear on February 15 and reports to Mike Wallenfels, president of the company. With more than 17 years of corporate marketing experience including positions with Procter and Gamble and Dreyer’s Grand Ice Cream, Grove is expected to bring a fresh perspective to the company.

“I wanted to align my work with my personal interest in the outdoors,” said Grove. “My initial plan is to do lots of listening. Recognizing what is already working along with what needs to change is paramount to implementing a strong marketing plan that will further develop the Mountain Hardwear brand.”
