Morsel Munk, a specialty outdoor retailer in Winsted, CT, appealed to its friends across the industry to support its application for a $250,000 grant sponsored by Chase and LivingSocial by voting online by June 30.


The retailer is among the small businesses competing for $3 million in grant money that will be awarded under the two companies’ “Mission: Small Business” grant program.

To get to the next round in the grant process, Morsel Munk must obtain 250 votes by end of the day Friday. To vote, click https://www.missionsmallbusiness.com, then click the “Log in with Facebook” button, and search for Morsel Munk.

Morsel Munk intends to use the money to grow their brand of motivational, young-at-heart apparel and to offer more outdoor events, demos and clinics to a wider audience.

Chase and LivingSocial began soliciting applications May 7 for the grant program, which will award up to 12 individual grants of $250,000 to provide small businesses with capital and innovative marketing resources needed to make a positive impact on their business.
