Modern America Campgrounds, the largest RV park owner in the Northeast, has acquired Lone Oak Campsites in East Canaan, CT. The company said in a media release that this marks its 27th park acquisition in the last 24 months, further solidifying its position as a leader in the outdoor hospitality industry.
Lone Oak Campsites will officially become part of the Modern America Campgrounds portfolio on December 1, 2024.

Additionally, the company has launched the Freedom Trail Pass, granting campers access to all Modern America Campgrounds with minimal restrictions during peak season. This pass offers unparalleled flexibility and convenience for campers seeking to explore the diverse range of destinations within the Modern America Campgrounds network.
With the acquisition of Lone Oak Campsites, Modern America Campgrounds is set to expand its portfolio to 29 parks by the end of the year, with two additional acquisitions in the pipeline. The company said this growth trajectory underscores the its commitment to providing exceptional camping experiences across the Northeast as they make their way toward upper state NY and the Mid-Atlantic.
