Modern America Campgrounds (MAC) has acquired King Phillip’s Campground in Lake George, NY. King Phillip’s has 220 campsites and is the closest campground to Lake George.
The acquisition of King Phillip’s Campground marks MAC’s 30th park acquisition in the past 24 months, which the company said “further solidifies its position as a leader in the outdoor hospitality industry.”
“We are thrilled to welcome King Phillip’s to the Modern America Campgrounds family,” said Hunter Vazza, speaking for MAC in a media statement. “It is an amazing property, and we intend to expand the park by an additional 70 sites. This acquisition aligns with our strategic growth plan as we make our way toward the Mid-Atlantic, allowing us to offer our guests even more diverse camping options.”
To enhance the camping experience, MAC offers seasonal pass members the added benefit of limited access to other MAC sites at no charge, and are encouraged to do so.
“We have some amazing properties, Bar Harbor Campground has an elevated 270-degree ocean view of the Atlantic, Eastern Slope has one mile of frontage on the Saco River in Conway, NH., and Camping on the Battenkill has a three-quarter mile of frontage on the Battenkill River in Arlington, VT,” Vazza noted. “There isn’t another park owner in the Northeast that allows their seasonal members complimentary access to 30 parks! The value is there, and it’s what separates us from other parks.”
Modern America Campgrounds reports that it is the largest RV park owner in the Northeast, with a portfolio of 30 campgrounds across the region.
With the acquisition of King Phillip’s, MAC will expand its portfolio to 33 parks by the beginning of next season, with a reported three additional acquisitions in the pipeline.
