Modell’s Sporting Goods, the family-owned and operated retailer of sporting goods, sporting apparel, menswear and athletic footwear, has added two new stores to its northeast chain in New Jersey and Pennsylvania.
The 21,730-square-foot Bridgewater, NJ store opened Thursday, July 31 in the Somerset Shopping Center on US Hwy 202.
This Thursday, August 7, the 26,143-square-foot Philadelphia location will host its grand opening with a ribbon cutting ceremony at 9:00 a.m. Special guests for the days celebrations include Phillies centerfielder Shane Victorino, city council representative Tony Radwanski and president/CEO of Modell’s Sporting Goods Mitchell Modell.
Throughout the day the store will give away gift cards, gift packs, limited edition replicas of the Phillies championship pennant, and host an autograph signing by Chris Coste of the Phillies.
