Shake up your route
- Don’t always run the same old, doing new routes keeps things interesting
- Finish in a place like a park or beautiful landmark, this gives you a nice payoff when you finish and a great place to stretch and relax
Update your running playlist on a weekly basis
- Listening to new music will keep you from getting bored and help you to want to run for a longer period of time
- Try adding “Intervals” into your workout
- Staying at the same pace can feel very monotonous
- Intervals give you a short goal with a great reward
Train for a Race
- The training runs for a race gives you a sense of accomplishment and goal to work towards
- This also encourages you to be more accountable and harder to skip a training day
