According to Forbes, Michael Jordan, the endorser that put Nike on the map, again ranked far ahead of other players in royalties from shoe deals. Jordan earns $110 million annually, according to the business magazine.
A record 32 NBA players landed on Forbes’ recent look at the world’s 100 highest-paid athletes.
Following Jordan were mainly active players. At the top of the list were LeBron James (Nike) $32 million; Kevin Durant (Nike) $25 million; Kobe Bryant (Nike) $16 million; James Harden (Adidas) $14 million; Stephen Curry (Under Armour) $12 million; Derrick Rose (Adidas) $11 million; Damian Lillard (Adidas) $10 million; Dwyane Wade (Li-Ning) $8 million; Kyrie Irving (Nike) $8 million; and Paul George (Nike) $5.5 million. Russell Westbrook and Carmelo Anthony, both with the Jordan Brand, were tied at $5 million each.
