Messe Friedrichshafen announced that effective Dec. 31, 2013, Stefan Reisinger will assume the newly created position of Head of OutDoor/Eurobike, where he will direct the OutDoor/Eurobike trade shows, including all of the related national and international events around the world. He will be replaced as Show Director OutDoor/Eurobike by Dirk Heidrich.

“To move their international profile and influence forward, and to be able to meet the growing challenges of the future, we are strengthening the OutDoor and the Eurobike with this new management constellation,” said Klaus Wellmann, CEO of Messe Friedrichshafen.

Stefan Reisinger came to Messe Friedrichshafen from the sports rights agency ISPR in 2003 and has led the OutDoor and Eurobike projects since 2004. In his new function as head of OutDoor / Eurobike, the 39-year-old will also continue to drive the internationalisation of both brands forward. Both have given birth to strong international spinoffs, the Asia Outdoor and the asia bike, held in the Chinese city of Nanjing. In addition, in the future Reisinger will focus more on the management of key international accounts in America and Asia. As a holder of a degree in the economics of sport, Reisinger is enthusiastically interested in everything related to biking and outdoor sport, professionally as well as in his free time.

Dirk Heidrich has been serving as serving as project director of the trade show IT&Büro at Messe Friedrichshafen since October 2012. The 40-year-old, who has a degree in sport science, is very familiar with his future area of responsibility as project director. He was a project manager in the OutDoor/Eurobike team when he first joined Messe Friedrichshafen in 2008.
