Merrell announced a new partnership with Team Rubicon, the nonprofit organization that unites the skills and experiences of military veterans with first responders to rapidly deploy emergency response teams.
Merrell will be outfitting Team Rubicon leaders and core volunteer staff with boots from their new Work line built with the brand’s established franchises and representing a range of men’s and women’s safety toe boots.
“May is Military Appreciation Month, and we couldn’t think of a better way to honor our armed forces than by partnering with this amazing group,” said Merrell’s Chief Marketing Officer Linda Brunzell. “We know how to build durable, performance-driven footwear and are proud to be the boots on the ground for Team Rubicon as they respond to disasters.”
“Teaming up with a company like Merrell means so much because it’s a brand our volunteers trust to be able to get the job done,” said Jake Wood, Team Rubicon’s cofounder and CEO. “When our teams deploy to disaster stricken communities we need to make sure all of our volunteers are fully equipped to tackle the toughest jobs, and Merrell Work line boots provide just that.”
Merrell will be donating 10 percent of their sales from Merrell.com on Memorial Day, May 29, 2017.
