Ten Thousand, the men’s activewear brand based in Manhattan, reported it secured $21.5 million in a funding round led by Provenance, a Beverly Hills-based firm that invests in direct-to-consumer companies.
Provenance’s other investments include Caddis Eye Appliances, Dagne Dover, Fireclay Tile, Knotstandard, Makeup By Mario, Marine Layer, and MeUndies.
Other participants in the funding included Fernbrook and Alfa. Existing seed investors included Warby Parker co-founder Dave Gilboa, Blue Scorpion and Elizabeth Street Ventures.
The funding will expand the DTC brand’s team, add inventory, grow its retail footprint, explore larger partnerships, and scale marketing.
Ten Thousand, founded in 2017, said it has been profitable since April 2020.
Ten Thousand also announced a three-year partnership with Life Time Athletic Country Clubs, becoming the exclusive men’s training apparel brand for the club’s personal training team, including its Studio, GTX, Alpha, and Ultra Fit classes.
