One of Canadas largest outdoor retailers, Mountain Equipment Co-Op (MEC), has implemented TEXbase software solutions to help streamline its internal material development process.
MEC will use TEXbase software to organize large amounts of data including lab tests and performance specifications so it can spend more time tracking standards to maintain overall product quality.
“MEC has spent years testing and evaluating materials to meet the needs of the products we produce,” saidGreg Scott, Materials Development Manager at MEC. “We were finding that our accumulative wealth of information was stored in multiple locations and in multiple formats just at our fingertips . but not easily retrievable. TEXbase is helping us tap into our own wealth of knowledge by providing a comprehensive accessible database that can be used as a design resource instead of a vault of information” Greg Scott, Materials Development Manager at MEC.”
Joe Walkuski, TEXbase Founder and CEO, explains that “Were excited to work with a retailer such as MEC whose philosophy of continually improving product quality is a perfect fit for our software. TEXbase is the missing-link for many apparel companies and retailers seeking to more effectively create new materials and streamline the development process. TEXbase allows companies to grow more efficiently while maintaining data consistency and more importantly, brand integrity.”
