Chris Carmichael, former Olympic cyclist, founder and CEO of Carmichael Training Systems, Inc., and long-time personal coach to Lance Armstrong, has signed MBT as the official active comfort footwear of Carmichael Training Systems. MBTs are the physiological footwear designed to exercise the body’s supporting muscle system.

“MBTs are a great tool for athletes; they improve post-workout recovery, reinforce proper posture, and help athletes engage stabilizer muscles that are often neglected in traditional, sport-specific training,” commented Carmichael.

As a national spokesperson for MBT, Chris Carmichael will represent MBT at appropriate public events and speaking engagements. Additionally, CTS coaches nationwide have incorporated MBT into their training regimes for recovery and/or conditioning. Now MBT will not only reach elite level athletes but also amateur competitors and more recreational athletes who attend CTS camps and use the CTS coaches for their personal coaching needs. “As a coach I’m always looking for tools and techniques that give my athletes an advantage. MBTs not only help my athletes, they’ve helped me as well. I’ve had back pain for years following a broken femur that left me with one leg shorter than the other. Since I’ve started wearing MBTs, I can handle long days on my feet during camps or at events without any back pain,” added Carmichael.

“We couldn’t be happier with Chris’ glowing support of MBT,” commented Rebecca Kotch, Vice President of Marketing & Retail Development. “He’s an inspiration to anyone who knows his story, and his belief in our product validates what we already know – MBT plays a key role in fitness training pre and post-competition.  We are very proud of this partnership.”
