Marsh Wear Clothing has opened its first store in its hometown of Charleston, SC, as the outdoor lifestyle brand celebrates its 15-year anniversary.
“This is a full-circle moment for all of us here at Marsh Wear. The brand was dreamt up and founded in the attic of a Folly Beach house,” said Marsh Wear President Logan Roberts. “It is truly a fulfilling feeling to be opening our first retail doors in the heart of the shopping and historic district, a few blocks from where my grandfather grew up on Society Street. We’re grateful for every twist and turn of the journey so far, and look forward to the good times to come in the next fifteen years.”
The brand is focused on hunting, fishing, and surfing with growth in recent years supported by expanded women’s style offerings and collaborations with Mossy Oak and others. Marsh Wear also invests in ambassador relationships and grassroots efforts, including hosting a number of in-person events each year along with two annual fishing tournaments: The Holy City Tarpon Tournament each July, benefiting Captains for Clean Water, and the Lady Red Rendezvous in September, benefiting Charleston Waterkeeper.
“As a brand, we’re delighted for this opportunity to meet more of our customers face to face,” said Marsh Wear Senior Marketing Manager Kaitlin Dobbins. “Hearing their stories from the water and the field firsthand and guiding them through the collection is something we’ve been looking forward to for a long time.”
