Elisette Carlston, Zoot Sports director of marketing,  is leaving the company for personal reasons. Founder and CEO Brian Enge will assume a greater role over marketing.

Carlson had been with Zoot for almost four years.

“Eli has chosen to pursue other opportunities, primarily chasing around her 1-year-old son, Andrew,” said Enge. “We will miss Eliï's impact on both our team and our business. We wish her well and she will remain part of the Zoot Ohana (Hawaiian for family).”

The move follows K2 Sports acquisition of the company. K2 Seattle now manages the operations and finance side of the Zoot business has allowed Enge to refocus on building the brand.

The marketing team will now consist of Enge, Jake Jansen (marketing coordinator) and a new hire. Jansen will manage all events, tradeshows and athletes, while a soon to be hired trade marketing coordinator will focus on trade marketing, internet marketing and PR.

“We'll be able to announce this new hire in October and we are confident in the marketing team moving forward,” Enge said.
