The Marketing Director-Events and Entertainment at Burton Snowboards will supervise day-to-day management of all Burton events and event sponsorships; the sales of all Burton event sponsorships and partnerships; and Burton’s entertainment projects. Responsibilities include: event creation and overall event strategy; event planning and execution; coordination and production of all related event materials; creation and coordination of event schedules; staff and budget management.

Oversee all sponsorship acquisition, sponsorship plan development and partnership relations; and the management and execution of all Burton’s entertainment projects including film, television and new media. This position will also develop and implement event standards and guidelines for regional, national and global events. Other duties include communicating with team riders, sales reps, vendors, sponsors, media, resorts, and marketing personnel from other companies.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s degree and at least 8 years of experience coordinating events and entertainment projects, as well as a knowledge of sponsorship and management of sponsor relations. Must have experience in budget development and expense tracking.

The right candidate will also have experience developing positive and productive working relationships with sales organizations, agencies, contractors and sponsors. A positive attitude, strong organizational and time management skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must. Solid computer (Word, Excel, Internet) skills are required. Attention to detail very important, as well as the ability to coordinate and execute multiple ongoing projects.

Experience and enthusiasm for snowboarding, as well as snowboard industry knowledge or experience, is preferred.
