Malden Mills Industries has appointed Edward Schade as CFO and Jonathan Adelman as EVP of Global Sales. These appointments follow closely on the heels of hiring Andrew Vecchione as COO. Both Adelman and Vecchionne started the job quickly and met with Sports Executive Weekly on the floor at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market, along with new CEO Michael Spillane, who joined the company in July 2004. Spillane was pleased to have his executive team assembled and ready to move forward, while Adelman and Vecchionne were showing quite a bit of enthusiasm over the energy on the show floor and in the Polartec booth.

Moving forward, Spillane said that he wants to focus on three key points-Malden’s global presence, building the brands, and new technology. He wants to try and separate himself and his team from the controversies surrounding the company, that “have nothing to do with what we do for a living.”

Schade brings over 35 years of corporate finance experience to his role at Malden Mills, most recently as CFO with The Hinckley Company. Schade has extensive senior financial management experience in financial recapitalization, IPO, M&A transactions, and turnaround initiatives.

Adelman has almost 30 years of executive experience in the textile and apparel industry. He comes to Malden Mills from New River Industries where he served as Managing Director. He will oversee sales in Asia and Europe, as well as in North America.
