Magura USA has named Rob Aguero as the new brand manager for Lightweight wheels and frames in North America.

Aguero was the previous OEM key account and marketing manager for Reynolds.

Magura USA is the exclusive distributor of Lightweight carbon wheels and frames in North America.

Aguero has held various positions in inside sales, international sales, OEM Sales, and marketing at Orbea USA, Gita, Pivot Cycles and Reynolds Cycling respectively. Building and maintaining relationships and developing strategic partnerships are his strengths and as a result he has built a strong network within the industry.

Before finding his stride in the bicycle industry Rob had a stint in television news, then shifted to education as an elementary school teacher. While teaching and completing his graduate studies at Southern Methodist University, he worked in local bike shops, raced mountain bikes and found cycling to be his passion.

Aguero turned this passion into a career in the bicycle industry, logging almost 15 years to date.

“Throughout my career in the bicycle industry I’ve been fortunate to work with great people and amazing, innovative brands,” Aguero said. “With Magura USA and Lightweight I feel I’ve found that again. It’s a great fit and I’m excited to get started.”
