Macy’s confirmed it is closing four stores in Los Angeles, CA; Fort Collins, CO; Oahu, HI; and Gaithersburg, MD. The closures include:
- Los Angeles: Baldwin Hills Crenshaw Plaza, 4005 Crenshaw Blvd.
- Fort Collins: Foothills Mall, 215 E Foothills Parkway
- Oahu: Kaneohe Windward Center (Oahu), 46-056 Kamehameha Highway
- Gaithersburg: Lakeforest Mall, 701 Russell Avenue
Macy’s said in a media statement, “As part of our Polaris transformation strategy, we continue to optimize and reposition our store fleet to ensure we have the right mix of on-mall and off-mall stores to better serve our customers and effectively support omnichannel market sales growth. As a company, we are committed to offering impacted colleagues a role in nearby locations or severance packages.”
The company reported operating just over 720 locations across its Macy’s, Bloomingdale’s and Bluemercury brands at the end of the third quarter.
