Louis Garneau USA has appointed Bernard Desrochers as the company's new brand/product manager based in the United States. Bernard Desrochers comes to Louis Garneau USA with over 20 years of industry experience that has stretched from working in Research and Development for brands such as Asics and The Forzani Group to most recently as a freelance designers for Argon 18, Jupa Sports, Boyco, and more.
“We are excited to have Bernard join the team at Louis Garneau,” Pierre Perron, Marketing Director explained. “Bernard will be integral in helping us design products and brand our image for the seasons to come. His knowledge, creativity, and understanding of the sport will allow us to further our penetration in the cycling and triathlon markets by developing key products that meet consumer and dealer demand. In addition, Bernard is an active cyclist. And his passion for the sport will fuel the future product development for Louis Garneau USA.”
Louis Garneau offers the complete cycling and triathlon solution including apparel, helmets, shoes, and accessories. Desrochers's ability will allow him to visually design product that appeals to the consumer, but as a competitive cyclist, he will be able to design based on function and performance. “Bernard is a cycling competitor of mine,” states Perron. “When we are not in the office, we are on the saddle pushing each other's limits and strategizing how to push the limits of cycling technology.”
