Lorna Jane, the Australian women’s activewear brand, is opening eight more stores in the U.S. to bring the brand’s store count to 38.
The new stores include Palm Desert, CA, Westfield Century City, Los Angeles, CA, Westfield University Town Center, La Jolla, CA, Domain Northside, Austin, TX, City Creek Center, Salt Lake City, UT and the brand’s first outlet store in Camarillo Premium Outlets, Camarillo, CA.
Lorna Jane relocated and expanded in Palm Desert with a new 1,800 square feet corner location now open in the El Paseo Premiere Centre at 73655 El Paseo, Palm Desert, CA across from Tommy Bahama.
With existing locations in Dallas, Lorna Jane has expanded its presence in the state of Texas with a new 1,328 square feet store located in Domain Northside in Austin.
Lorna Jane will be opening two new stores with Westfield in their new redevelopments located in Century City, Los Angeles, CA and University Town Center, La Jolla, CA. The brand also plans to open a store with Westfield in San Jose, CA scheduled for completion later this year. Having closed its Century City store in 2015 as part of the center’s redevelopment and expansion, the new 1,706 square feet space sits across from Bloomingdales with area tenants including Typo, Cotton On and American Eagle. The new 1,248 square feet University Town Center space is located in the expansion near Lululemon, Joe & The Juice, Sundance and James Perse.
Salt Lake City will be a new market for Lorna Jane with a store in development and scheduled for a Spring 2019 opening. The 1,348 square feet space is located on the first level between Papyrus and Aldo in Taubman’s City Creek Center, which features a unique shopping environment with a retractable roof, a creek winding through the property and a pedestrian skybridge, it’s anchored by Macy’s and Nordstrom.
Simon’s Camarillo Premium Outlets will be the first outlet store in the United States for Lorna Jane, having leased 1,916 square feet near Nike and other brands including adidas, Vince, Michael Kors and Calvin Klein.
Scott Lifschultz, president of SPL Realty Partners, oversees and is responsible for Lorna Jane’s portfolio of stores in the United States. He explains the evolution of Lorna Jane in the U.S., “ These store openings are the latest developments in Lorna Jane’s retail expansion strategy to grow the brand and amplify its brand presence in North America and expand upon the brand’s retail store network of 31 existing stores across California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Texas, Washington and Utah.”
He added, “In addition to expanding its footprint in the U.S., we’ve been repositioning its existing fleet to ensure the brand is well placed to showcase its premium product offering.”
