L.L. Bean has leased 15,000-square-feet at Danbury Fair Mall in Connecticut with an eye toward opening their store in April.

Bean now has 33 stores or outlets in ten states, including stores in South Windsor and Orange, CT.

“This is one more sign of strength in the retail sector,” said Stephen Bull, president of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, according to Danbury Patch.

L.L. Bean will fill the last vacant space left by Filene's. The other space left by one of the mall's original anchor store was taken by Dick's Sporting Goods, XXI Forever, The Cheesecake Factory and Brio Tuscan Grille, which just opened.
