L.L.Bean has hired Daniel Love as the company’s new Vice President of Finance. Mr. Love comes from the Atlanta, Georgia area where he worked most recently as Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations for a division of Federated Department Stores. Prior to his 10 years at Federated, Mr. Love was with May Department Stores in a variety of high-level financial positions.
Mr. Love has an impressive track record in dealing with large corporate budgets, high-volume merchandise control, tax accounting, planning and loss prevention. He also has considerable experience with corporate mergers, information technology and large store operations.
“Dan’s extensive experience, most notably his retail channel background, will be invaluable as the company pursues the opening of more L.L.Bean retail stores around the Country,” says Senior VP and Chief Financial Officer Mark Fasold. Mr. Love will be joining L.L.Bean the week of January 3, 2005.
