LifeStraw, a manufacturer of filtration and purification products for safe drinking water, has appointed Adam Janecka as head of retail sales, effective immediately. Janecka brings more than 20 years of experience leading domestic and global sales teams at consumer electronics, sporting goods and technology brands including Magellan GPS, Outdoor Tech and Eton.
Janecka’s responsibilities include overseeing all direct and multichannel sales efforts, while supporting LifeStraw’s Giving Back Through Retail initiatives, utilizing revenues from product sales to provide clean water to communities in need around the world.
“Adam’s proven track record of building and leading collaborative sales teams and growing brands makes him an ideal fit,” said Alison Hill, managing director of LifeStraw. “His global sales expertise aligns with LifeStraw’s focus on providing safe water solutions worldwide.”
Most recently, Janecka was VP of sales at Outdoor Tech, where he lead initiatives with key national and regional retailer accounts including Amazon, Target, Apple, Dick’s Sporting Goods, L.L.Bean, Nordstrom and REI, increasing the start-up’s valuation from $1 million to over $10 million from 2012 to 2016.
